Comments about Kahtoola MICROspikes Footwear Traction:

These microspikes REALLY work. After the recent ICE storm in VT I was bairly able to walk off my deck and up my driveway. With the Microspikes I could walk on glare ice with no slipping at all. On the trail they are just as effective. I would definatley recommend these!!!

Comments about Kahtoola MICROspikes Footwear Traction:

looked into similar products and these micro spikes kept getting the highest recommendations. Used them twice now in 5 inch snow, packed snow, and also ice on mountain terrain and these performed great. I was surprised that there was no slippage at all. so far appear to be very durable, easy on and off, fit very securely and stay on.

Comments about Kahtoola MICROspikes Footwear Traction:

Finally got the chance to use these (bought in March, but no vacation until August) in snowy/icy conditions (yes, in August) hiking the northern Sierra. The Kahtoola micro-spikes offered steady, reliable, confident traversing of icy, hard-packed, and melting snow. We even did a field test, hiking in without them, and back using them. The difference, even granting we had rugged Asolo boots with new tread, was amazing. Much less energy wasted slipping and mis-stepping, excellent over transitional trails where mud/ice mixed. Also good over short stretches in mud and loose trail conditions. Definitely will be a part of our standard hiking kit.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JOHN D  My wife and I tried two different "cheaper" versions and finally paid up and got these. Never should have bought the others. These are worth every penny! Heck, we now almost never drag out our full fledge Crampons for use on our Mountaineering boots and instead just throw these in our backpacks and for two Winters straight now, have been all that we have needed.
Shopper  I have size 9 Mickey Mouse boots that I wear ice fishing, what size would I need?
            JAE F  large
bill d  I wear a size 9 1/2 mens boot, gortex so alittle bigger than a usual boot. What size should I get?
LYNN G  Bill, I bought these last year after trying several other brands and I just love them. They are well worth the price. I found that the sizing chart is very accurate. I wear a mens size 10 and bought the large. They fit perfect over my oversized Baffin boots. I use them for icefishing. Hope this helps. Lynn
