Comments about Kelty Grand Mesa 2 Tent:

This is an update from my previous review. I'm still lovin' my tent after using it for well over a year now. I've used it in all kinds of weather from below freezing with heavy frost and some ice to thunderstorms, winds, and scorching hot and humid. I live in Alabama and you never know what the weather will bring. It has held up well. When it's really cold I stay fairly warm with a good sleeping bag but expect condensation inside the rainfly especially in the front area under the vestibule. You will get drops on you when you open the vestibule zipper. It's a great tent for one person and her gear. It's easy to set up even by yourself in the dark which is usually the conditions I have.

Comments about Kelty Grand Mesa 2 Tent:

I have had this tent out on several backpacking trips and has not let me down thus far. I was on the 61 mile loyalsock trail in pa with a large hound and it was our home for four days kept us comfy.I have had this tent hiking in the adirondack high peaks in several types of weather, thunderstorms ,wind .,light rain it handled them all and kept me dry. I feel as long as you take good care of it this will last on many of your own adventures.

Comments about Kelty Grand Mesa 2 Tent:

Used it for the first time this weekend. We had a major storm with heavy rain, strong winds, & tornado warnings the second night. We had to evacuate the scouts from the campground during the night & come back the next day to collect our gear. I didn't know what to expect but happily found that my gear was still dry in the tent. It's a great tent for one with gear but two would be crowded. My only complaint is the stakes were bending in half in the rocky ground we were camping on. Why can't manufacturers give you decent stakes to begin with? I anticipated that might happen & bought some Nobendium stakes to try. They worked great except where the ground was too rocky to get any stake into. I'm using the tent on a backpacking trip soon. Hope it works well then. I'll let you know.
