Comments about Kelty Grand Mesa 2 Tent:

Got this for a gift for a friend. She is not a hardcore backpacker but it is light enough to be a good packing tent. I did set it up before I gave it to her, set up was easy and seems sturdy enough I think it will serve her well.

Comments about Kelty Grand Mesa 2 Tent:

We bought our son this tent a few years ago. I used his more than he did and decided to buy me one as well. This is a great tent for the money. It is reliable, roomy, light weight and very easy to set up.

Sorry -- it's been double digits below zero here in northern Wisconsin so I haven't attempted to field test the tent yet.

The first time I've use this tent was tested with heavy rain, but I believe that their brand is already tested and known... and yeah, it's true.... I sleep well through night despite of the rain and wind.

            Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is this a good tent for not getting rained on inside? I have a famous brand ultralight bivouac and I just got drenched from condensation on this last trip over labor day. What tempature will this tent be good DOWN too?
SunnySports S  If you set up any tent like this correctly, it will keep you dry. #1 Lay down 6" to 8" of leaves & pine needles the size of your foot print (keeps tent off the ground) #2 Place footprint down. #3 Set up tent and stake down. #4 Cover with fly and stake it out so there is plenty of space for air flow. Be sure to set it up with a tent side faceing the wind!!. As for temperature? Tents don"t keep you warm, the sleeping bag does. These are 3 season tents and by changing the sleeping bag can be very comfortable. TOO windy & cold? Stake the fly closer to the tent for less air flow!Have Fun Out There!Carl
