Comments about Kelty Gunnison 1.1 Tent:

My current tent is a large 2 person double vestibule tent. The problem I found on a recent 4 week expedition on my motorcycle was that it was too complex for every day use. That is why after some study I chose the Kelty Gunnison 1.1. I'm very impressed. The erection time is minimal and very straight forward. The only thing I had to get used to is the width of a single person tent. I'm not use to the limited space but that is some thing that I got over by the end of the first night of use. The tent is actually comfortable and surprisingly warm. My only complaint is that in the morning the inside of the fly was really wet with condensation. I was dry but had to dry the tent before I could pack it away. The temperatures that night were about 18 Degrees F. All in all, I'm really glad I bought this tent and would recommend it for anyone that asked.

Not the lightest one person tent out there, but for the money it is a good buy. Solid shelter, bottom line.

Comments about Kelty Gunnison 1.1 Tent:

Haven't used this tent on a trip yet but I did set it up to see how easy it went together. Pretty easy to do. Little different pole design than I've seen or expected. Hope the plastic hub at the center does not break. Tent is roomy for one person with plenty of headroom and is lightweight.

Comments about Kelty Gunnison 1.1 Tent:

Have set up and taken this tent down four times in back yard before it goes out with me for adventure. Tent has a good quality feel to it. well vented but very well protected from elements. No condensation issues. I'm 5 9 and have plenty of room for myself and gear inside. good head room. Not as light as my tarp, but don't need trees for all the nice protection. good color to blend in with. with stood 40 to 50mph wind gusts last night with out failing.
