Comments about Kelty Acadia 6 Tent:

Good tent, setup is fairly easy, poles need some work to get through sleeves but not bad. The tent fly covers entire tent which is nice, but the pole was almost impossible to get in, way too tight, hope it doesn't tear someday. Otherwise, seems to be made with some good material and I think it will last a long time with using the footprint and taking care of it.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

      Questions about this item:

Shopper  Are the door zippers in this tent durable and how well does the floor perform in the wet?
Rich L  The zippers are good quality, just go slowly so your waterproof flap doesn't get caught. Key to a good floor is using a footprint, or ground cloth. Tents wear out here first, so use a tarp or heavy plastic. This will help with keeping water out of the tent. Kelty isn't the most dazzle dazzle tent, but value and quality are there. Freestanding, meaning you do not need stakes, is of primary importance. I have used a Kelty tent about 50 times, in 50 mph winds, rain, and snow. Never sunk a stake, never wet, never a problem. The fly sheets are heavier than average and this is appreciated. My next Kelty will be the Acadia 6, so I can stand in it while car camping. My smaller Kelly's have been for motorcycle camping.
