Comments about Kelty Redstart 1600 Daypack:

For around $30, this is a nice bag. Kelty makes good quality products, so the pack doesn't feel cheap like some others. I wish it had a few more small pockets for small stuff.

Comments about Kelty Redstart 1600 Daypack:

I bought this on closeout (old model year) because I'm a cheapskate so my pricepoint is really low. For [$] this was a fantastic deal. Excellent pack for the money. It seems well-constructed, it looks great, and it is comfortable.

Comments about Kelty Redstart 1600 Daypack:

I bought this pack on sale a few weeks ago and have used it extensively as a search and rescue daypack since. The material is durable (a major plus when you're cutting through any kind of dense brush) and the padding is reasonably good for the size of the pack. Once you get the straps adjusted, this pack fits snugly. The main pocket is rather large and has a small zip pocket for keys. However, the biggest downside is that while the large pocket fits everything you might need, its lack of more than one small organizational pocket makes finding things in the pack potentially difficult. Additionally, I don't recommend using the loose outer water bottle pockets if you are doing anything strenuous since anything in them will likely fall out. Overall, a good daypack, especially for the nice deal I got on it.

MACK L  Sale price made it a steal. Really nice pack for the money.
Adam B  Does this seem big to use as amountain biking or bike commuting bag? No laptop, just basic clothes, lunch, etc. I am comparing this to a few other models with about 800 cu in capacity.
SHARON T  I think it's a little big for that purpose. It's quite long, not to say it wouldn't work at all.I just think there is probably another that would be better. Good Luck !
