Comments about Kelty Noah's Tarp 9 Shelter:

Got this for a great price on sunnysports.com. It comes with cord and 4 Nite Ize figure 9 cord adjusters, which was a pleasant surprise. This plus a pair of adjustable poles will replace the bulky and heavy collapsible canopy we used to take to the beach, park and boating. I only wish I'd gone the next size larger, 12' x 12'.

Comments about Kelty Noah's Tarp 9 Shelter:

This is the 2nd Noah's Tarp 9 I have purchaced. I got the 1st one 8 years ago and I still use it all the time. Got another for my fiance's new hammock. It has many uses on the trail, river, or beach. Great to have if the weather makes a turn for the worst or a sun shade. You can't go wrong if you camp a lot and need a quick shelter.

The Noah Tarps are extremely well made and can be configured to use in over a dozen ways. I use it as an additional tarp when hammocking and it works very very well.

            Questions about this item:

Shopper  For beach use, what poles and or stakes are needed?
TRENT G  Kelty makes a couple of pole set-ups up can get here at Sunnysports or many other outfitters that work well with this tarp. One is adjustable, and the other is a 4 section one (Kelty's Staff Pole) I have the staff pole myself and it works great......the adjustable one looks a lot heavier duty.
Shirley C  Do we need 2 poles? Looks like we do but it is not mentioned anywhere.
KIM K  Not if there are trees nearby. The whole thing can be strung up to trees at two ends, then the sides tied to other trees or to stakes. I did buy one pole so that in a worse case scenario I could at least mount it more like a lean-to situation. These are great tarps. I have a larger one too (12x12) and use this smaller one as a tarp for an old tent I still like to use.
