Is it really just 6 and a half pounds in weight and will it really hold up to 350 pounds? This is just sounding too good to be true so I wanted to check. Thanks.
can't tell you about 350, but I weigh 200 and the chair is very sturdy. And, very comfortable. We bought them for concerts in the park and they do the job well.
Yes it weighs 6.5 lbs. 350 lbs is gonna b a tight squeeze! Otherwise chair is awesome! I bought another one.
6.5 lbs. yes.
If you're 350lbs.? I'm 130lbs. and 5'8'. It's very comfortable. I would highly recommend it.
I haven't weighed my chairs or actually tested the weight limit with the full 350 pounds, but I can say it's by far the most light weight, easy to carry, really comfortable chair I own. It shows no wear or stress from holding me and, at times, both me and hubby, even when I plop it open in the creek. I read a zillion reviews, price shopped, and finally ordered. I'm quite pleased with the chair and this site had the very best price plus easy customer service. It's the perfect campfire chair and along with my Kelty tent makes for many happy hours in the woods!
I didn't weigh the chair and I am not 350 lbs, but this is one heavy duty chair. I would say it's 5-10 lbs, but is made of thick canvas and will hold a good size person. I highly recommend this chair! (FYI, it sits VERY low to the ground, so if you're looking for a chair to prop your feet up and relax, this is it)
Extremely sturdy chair. I have put myself in it while sitting a kid on my lap. That's about 260 lbs.; chair didn't flinch. I have a set of four Kelly chairs, my first similar pair has been in use for 6 yrs with no tears, etc. and my latest pair is equally up to the task. The specs you ask about are correct; same from the manufacturer.
I appreciate the help.
My wife and I sat on it w/o a problem. However, we're only 300lbs combined. This thing is very well built and extremely stable.
The weight of the chair is accurate. I can tell you it holds 255 lbs and it's comfortable, nice looking and easy to set up and take down.
I could not give you a true weight limit answer, although I had a 250+- guest in a chair with no spontaneous combustion. The only issue with this chair with regards to someone with a weak core/extra weight is how low this 'low down' chair is. It could be challenging (as it was for my guest) to get out. That person would be better off with a regular height chair.
As for the weight- the chairs are super light and stuff nicely into a sack. They even have a bottle opener! They are nice for the beach, sitting in a river or back deck with you feet up. I enjoy mine!
Hello. I bought two of these chairs about six months ago. The weight sounds about right. They are well made, but I can't speak to whether they can hold 350 lbs. Be advised these chairs are low to the ground and not as comfortable and regular sized folding chairs. In hindsight, I would have preferred to get normal height chairs. Hope this helps.
