Is this waterproof to use at the beach?
While my use of this chair has solely been backpacking in the Colo. high country, where it has not held up. After just a few uses, the plastic stays have pushed through at each end. I doubt this chair would hold up on a sandy, abrasive beach setting. It is not waterproof, nor water resistant.
I can't say for sure that it would be waterproof at the beach, we used ours in the mountains. There was moisture and dew present and the chair wiped right off and didn't appear to be soaked. Hope that helps!
While not strictly waterproof, the chair is meant to get wet and dry out without any harm. I use it for backpacking so it is exposed to the elements all the time.
Yes. We chose it especially for use at the beach. We never actually took it into the surf, but it was fine on the beach with wet bathing suits, etc.
Yes, this worked great for us as a very lightweight beach chair which was not harmed by exposure to water or sand. However, with normal wear and tear the chair's support ribs quickly wore through the fabric until it became unusable.
it is not, perhaps slightly water resistant, but will absorb eventually
