Comments about Kelty Adjustable Pole for Tarps:

Read reviews before purchasing so no surprises or complaints. Not for the ounce-cutting minimalists. Excellent for RV & car camping setups.
Strapped to side of full sized backpack for hikers & canoe campers is doable.
Agree with reviewer who suggested adjustments to less than its minimun lenght would improve versatilty.
Tip: purchased a small KONG (dog toy) to slip over top spike for positioning in center of tarps w/no center grommet.

Comments about Kelty Adjustable Pole for Tarps:

I bought these for a recent car camping trip with my family to use with the large Kelty Noah Tarp (16 ft x 16 ft) and they worked great in significant rain and winds. They are not designed for light weight travel but worked great for this use.

Comments about Kelty Adjustable Pole for Tarps:

I planned on using my tarp for river trips with oars as poles but ended up using the tarp car camping as well and needed poles. These poles are heavier duty than I expected and way easier to pack around than oars for car camping. I may buy more and another tarp (smaller than 16').

        held up in high winds

Comments about Kelty Adjustable Pole for Tarps:

I used two of these poles with the kelty 16 and was very impressed with how they held up in high winds during a weekend camping trip. They were easy to set up and did not shift during the storms that came through. Since there isn't a storage bag available, I used a storage bag for a camp chair and put the tarp along with the poles in it and that works great. I used two tie downs for each pole and that worked great! I have orderd two more poles because I have discovered that these poles along with the tarp work better, are easier to travel with and are more durable than the easy up canopy I have.

Comments about Kelty Adjustable Pole for Tarps:

These are great poles, though I wish they could be adjusted to a shorter length. A carrying case of some type would be nice, also. The only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars is that they can't go shorter. Got the best price and free shipping on two at Sunnysports.

          Questions about this item:

Geigy S  for this price is it one pole, or a pair?
KENNETH G  Pair. The poles are kind of bulky compared to the Noah's tarp but necessary if you don't have something tall to tie the tarp to. I've used mine on 7-10 camping trips and have had no issues.
Shopper  How long is each pole section? 25mm Diameter? Weight of all poles? Description says 4 poles, but photo only shows 3.
Eric K  Do they come with a case?
