Used on a 5 day on isle royale with about 65 lbs and plenty of room left. Pack is easily adjustable for weight shifting. Items in large compartment are quick to access from the outter zipper. The rain cover did an excellent job protecting cameras and keeping clothes free of moisture. Tent fits easily either to the bottom of the pack or the forward side of the sleeping bag/air mattress compartment. Plenty of webbing for carabiners and the velcro loops were great for a fishing pole. My only complaints were the waistband being too large and the chest strap needing frequent adjusting.

Pack is not comfortable unless you are a large male and or a very very large female Chest straps loosen every ten minutes and constantly broke off the left shoulder strap the waist belt could not be tightened enough to support any weight and i have a 33" waist. Zippers are not that great. It holds alot thats about it.

So many pockets and adjustable straps as well as hooks and loops to attach carabiners or bungees to strap rolls/ tents/ bags. Great long term bag, I'll probably never need another.

Comments about High Sierra Long Trail 90 Backpack:

Received product today been making some adjustments. Seems well built & good design for maximum load bearing. The torso is rated up to 21", I'm 6,4 with a 25" torso & large shoulders & chest- seems about perfect. The buckles seem to slide a little too easy and may require consistent readjustments. When taking longer trips, I will often tape my straps with athletic tape just to minimize unintended movement. I'm the trail donkey of the group so generally carry between 25-50lbs with all gear(tent, Kershaw machete, -30 sleeping bag, gun of choice depending on season, cast iron cookware, etc.) Time & use will tell. Haven't been able to test rain fly yet. Currently trying to strap some things on sides- May need to manipulate or add some additional lashing or cordage to hold gear tight. Will follow up following continuous usage.

Can pack too much stuff in this pack so be careful. Lulls you into thinking, hey I could get one more thing in this.

Remember ounces make pounds, pounds make pain.

        Love the pack.

        Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
SICHEN D  This is a very reliable backpack, with a large space. The weight is very well distributed to waist. It is a very good heavy duty backpacking bag.
Tony G  When I originally purchased this backpack I weighed more (larger Waist). The back pack is great, but, I need a smaller waist belt, can one be purchased? I have the belt cinched as tight as it will go and it is not quite enough. My waist is now 35” and probably will shrink to 34”. Thank you,
BILL L  Try adding two shoulder seat belt pads to either side of the belt, they slip over and will add width to the belt, I did this to give comfort to a pack belt but found I needed to readjust the belt size. They come in many different materials mine were made with foam and covered with black nylon with Velcro closer you could make them if you were handy.
