Comments about High Sierra Foxhound 50 External Frame Pack:

I haven't used this on an outing yet, but I have loaded it and walked a few miles, and it stays comfortable! I'm a 5'7" female, 120 lbs, and this pack is just small enough for me! If you're a little taller/heavier, don't worry; it'll fit. If you're smaller than me, you might want to consider a smaller pack.

I like the frame (nice, metal; not cheap plastic) and the overall design of the pack. I could go out for a week at least with this (I pack light.). The material is of good quality, as are the zippers; ample number of smaller exterior pockets; the backpack cinches to the frame so that the load is carried on your hips, not shoulders. Overall, a great basic pack.

I'm thinking of buying the next size up (65L) for my brother in law as a gift.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

      Questions about this item:

Vickie G  It says the sleeping bag goes in the front load compartment with divider. From the information chart that is the bottom zipped compartment. How do you get a sleeping bag in there?
ANDREW R  Even though my son has a very compact sleeping bag, we have not tired to put it in that compartment. We just bungee cord it below the pack to the frame. Save the compartment space for clothes. Hope this helps
Shopper  Does the sack can be remove from the frame?
Zack W  This pack is meant to be attached and isn't removable. Enjoy it! Zack.
      Shopper  What does it weigh?
Zack W  The weight for this pack is: 6.61 lbs. Enjoy it! Zack.
