Comments about High Sierra Evolution 28 In. Drop-Bottom Wheeled Duffel (EV203):

After a single trans-Atlantic flight to Rome, the wheels on my two Evolution series duffles were splaying out and beginning to fail (under moderate weight less than 43lbs total on airport scale). Previous series of this bag (and the upright) was far superior. The sport-wheel design is flawed.

    Questions about this item:

Shopper  Does this stand up on its own?
ALFRED B  I do not like this new model (I have a previous version to compare to). High Sierra changed the wheels from inside and strengthened to outside and exposed. It does not stand up. Just bought 3 bags (one 28 and two 34") and both wheels on both bags are splaying out after a single trip to Europe under moderate loading. Neither new bag held up, but their old counterpart (also on the trip) is still going strong after nearly 3 years of use, although the fabric on it is getting thin on the corners. I do not recommend this new version of the High Sierra Evolution duffel.
