Comments about High Sierra Compass 3-in-1 Backpack (TR103):

I BOUGHT THIS BACKPACK AS A TRAVEL BAG THAT YOU CAN PULL OUT THE STRAPS WHEN WALKING FROM THE TRAIN STATIONS TO YOUR B&B IN EUROPE. I HAVE HAD ONE FROM JANSPORT AND BOUGHT LATER MODELS FROM THEM FOR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. THIS PACK TRIES TO DO TOO MANY THINGS AND WITH THE BACK PADDING WAS NOT VERY COMFORTABLE AND WAS BULKY AND STIFF. I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO NOT HAVE THE PADDING. THE PADDED HANDLES WERE NICE THOUGH. THE DAY PACK HAS SO MANY POCKETS AND OTHER THINGS THAT IT IS ALMOST USELESS. IF YOU CAN FIND SOMETHING LIKE THIS PACK THAT IS A LITTLE LESS BULKY AND CUMBERSOME I WOULD BUY IT, BUT I DID BUY IT FOR THE HIDDEN BACKPACK STRAPS AND THEY ARE HANDY.

Comments about High Sierra Compass 3-in-1 Backpack (TR103):

My boyfriend and I each purchased the 3-in-1 Pack for a two week trip to the Dominican Republic. We knew we were going to be traveling around the country; walking and taking public transportation often. We were looking for lightweight travel packs, without frames, that were big enough to pack clothing items for many different events thoughout the two weeks. (Ex: Daytime, evening, hiking, beach wear). Being a woman... I packed plenty of clothes and even had room to spare for a few gifts!

We both loved being able to detach the day pack to take to the beach and for touring around the city for the day!

Last but not least... being able to zip up and protect the shoulder and wait straps while flying is a HUGE +PLUS+. When checking baggage sometimes your luggage can really get beat up. Our bags came home safe and nothing torn!

Shopper  I am going on a three month long backpacking trip in Europe and I am looking for a good, reliable backpack that doesn"t cost a fortune. Would you recommend this pack? Please include why, or why not. Do you have any other backpack recommendations? (~$100) Thank you :)
SunnySports S  This is a well made, large capacity pack and very versatile with the Removable day pack. This pack like all others will last a long time if you use a little care. Don"t stress the zippers. Pack neatly with heavy items on top & close to your back. It will feel like a piece of clothing! I don"t have any others as versatile as this one that is really comfortable!Have Fun Out There!Carl
