Comments about GSI Outdoors Glacier Stainless Coffee Perculator - Campfire:

This was given to us as a gift when my aunt heard how we lived in the jungle (cooking outdoors, no electricity). We have had it for one year and use it every single day. It is very durable. We are very happy with it.
The thing that kept it from being 5 star is that the inside of the pot is stained dark from the coffee. This could be because we dont scrub hard enough. The outside, however, still looks new.
Perked coffee does have a different flavor than "pressed" or from a coffee pot. we prefer the taste of pressed over perked, however, that does not detract from this product, you just need to not expect the same flavor.

                  Questions about this item:

Dale S  Does the 8 cup model look like the one in the photo-conical shape as opposed to cylindrical?
LARRY B  Yes,but be sure to get a plastic top instead of a glass one.
Andi K  Are the inside parts stainless steel also?
EVERT S  Yes, great little coffee pot.
Shopper  The smallest size available is 8 cups. What is the least amount that can be made in this pot? I've been trying to find a small stove top percolator for use on a Coleman stove. That means plastic handles and other niceties are out of the question. it seems that 8 cups is about the smallest I can find and this one seems to meet the other requirements.
Karen H  My aunt sent this to us and we use it every day. My wife and I are heavy coffee drinkers so we always make a full pot. It make 4 big (but not giant-sized) mugs of coffee. I can tell you that if you OVER fill it, you are more likely to get grinds in your cup. Also wait to pour the coffee till after you turn if off and it has completely stopped perking or you will get grinds in your coffee.
