Not a backpacker!

By

Aluminum dutch ovens are nice to have any time of the year. They're not especially good for backpacking(where you're trying to go as light as possible),but can be pulled in a sled in snow country.Or even packed in on a mule, but needless to say big meals are heavy.Went camping a month ago and our big meal the first night was made on the truck's tailgate. How about tenderloin steak, deep fried potato slices, and deep fried okra(breaded in corn meal).Again, this is not your usual backpacking type of meal unless you're outfitted for it but we felt we owed it to ourselves.
