I needed a chair to take with me on my deployment to Iraq. Last time I went, I had the standard folding chair and it took up too much room. Another Soldier in my unit had one of these at Ft. Bragg and I knew I needed one before we left. I[...]The chair is more comfortable than the other types and with its compact design for storage makes it ideal for packing up or just carrying around to meetings. In the military, you never know where you'll need a chair and this one is so portable you can sling it over your shoulder and take it anywhere. It's very sturdy and more comfortable than the usual folding chair. Haven't used the accessory pockets yet but I'm sure they'll come in handy. I only wish it wasn't so expensive. Hope this helps....

We have enjoyed these chairs very much over the past 3 years when we first purchased them, although in the last month our 2 original ones have broke in the same spot on the back part of the metal bracket holding the seat. I would think when spending more for a chair it should last longer than 3 years. We`ve replaced 1 but not sure if we`ll replace the other one.

Tried one earlier just to see how well it was put together. Loved it! Compact, easy set up, dries fast after a rain, had to buy another for the spouse.

Comments about GCI Outdoor Pico Telescoping Arm Chair:

We needed small, compact chairs to fit in our 2 seater AC Cobra. A member of our Cobra club had these chairs and they seemed perfect for our needs. After one year of trying to stuff regular folding chairs into our Cobra we finally sprung for the Pico chairs & we absolutely love them. They took us no time at all to figure out how to set up & fold back up.

Comments about GCI Outdoor Pico Telescoping Arm Chair:

Small enough to fix in the trunk of my Street-Rod which has a limited amount of space.
These chairs are very comfortable and well built.
They are a little heavy to carry for my wife, so I carry both of them (short distances only).
The price is a little steep but I hope these will last for years to come. It took me several times of putting them up to get used to the process. They close up much easier though.

    Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Donald T  Sunny Sports has the best price that I could find for this chair.
maureen e  we have been very pleased with our Pico telescoping chairs but have noticed that the brackets have rusted and are unsightly. We have not used them on the beach to protect them, and they have not been left in the rain. Any suggestions?
CLARKE E  We have not seen any issues with our chairs. We use them most often outside, probably count on one hand number of times inside. They're used around the pool when needing extra seats. Let me ask only because I had a similar problem with something else. I was storing the item in our garage but also storing pool chemicals, which caused the item to rust. So stopped storing chemicals in garage. But, we've had no issues with our chairs and still take them alot of places. Sorry, hope you solve your issue.
Mollie F  Did anyone buy the xpress chair and were disappointed it didn't sit as comfortably as the PICO chair?
MATTHEW O  I purchased two of the Pico Telescoping Arm Chairs and both have been well used over the past few years. The chairs have a nice design that was confusing at first, but easy to use after I figured out how to open them. Unfortunately, one of the chairs has broken, but I still use the other one. The chair is comfortable for a portable chair and I have sat in it for several hours at a time on many occasions. It eventually becomes uncomfortable after a long sitting, but it is still better than the ground or a bench.
