About Exped Downmat 7 Air Mattress with Built-In Pump

Exped Downmat 7 Air Mattress with Built-In Pump
Get the Exped Downmat 7 Air Mattress with Built-In Pump for a comfortable sleep during winter camping. The thick cushion of air provides comfort and smoothes out uneven ground. It packs smaller than other insulated mats. Both the low profile valves (pat. Pend), one for inflation and the other for deflation ensure ease of use. As the valves are flat, they do not protrude and are therefore protected and durable. The light foam blocks at the mat s ends prevent down from escaping or migrating between chambers. The laminated polyester fabric makes it durable, airtight, and humidity resistant. The brushed polyester fabric ensures excellent slip resistance and comfort next to the skin. Two loops at the head end can be used to secure the packsack to the mat when used as a pillow. This Downmat 7 from Exped has an R-value of 5.9. Choose the Exped Downmat 7 Air Mattress with Built-In Pump for a warm and cozily sleep on snow.

Comments about Exped DownMat 7 Air Mattress with Built-in Pump:

This mat has made the difference between shivering all night, and sleeping warmly. I used a thermarest for years, and although a good product, I'll never go back. The downmat is much more comfortable, and significantly warmer. I haven't changed sleeping bags, but can stay warm in temps at least 15 degrees colder than I could with a thermarest self-inflatable. It packs down to about the size of a nalgene bottle. The fabric is quieter and less slippery than the big agnes synthetic insulated air mat that my husband uses. It takes a few minutes to inflate, but it's worth it. The built in pump system holds air better than the previous models which used the stuff sack as a bellows to inflate the pad.

    Questions about this item:

Shopper  what's the difference between this and the 7 LW?
KATHERINE P  The LW is longer and wider, but has the same R value. Suitable for bigger folk. It is heavier than my medium size DownMat 7 - about 8 ozs., I think. The 7 medium is about 6 feet long.
