Comments about Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Tent (2011 Model - While supplies last):

When my wife and I first purchased this tent we were not sure how bad it was going to be to set up. After taking it out of the box and doing a practice run before we went camping the first time with it we felt much better. With two people you can have this tent up in about 15-20 mins. Some of the poles are color coated which makes it a little easier to set up. The only complaint that i have with the tent is that the material feels really thin. We take our dogs camping with us and I was sure that their nails would put a hole in the tent flore but it seemed to hold up. Other then that the tent is great. Very roomy, vertical wall. divider that comes out, storage pouches easy role up windows.

Comments about Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Tent (2011 Model - While supplies last):

[...]The tent weighs over 40 pounds and is not one you would want to carry very far. it is meant for car camping, the back yard, or any where where you do not have to carry it any distance. It is meant for a family mostly but would work for a couple who feel the need to have the same room they have at home.

Comments about Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Tent (2011 Model - While supplies last):

It is large in size and made of" high quality" material. Although I am keen in every phase of home constructions, I am not an avid camper and thus; the instructions were not clear for my experience level. If you are not an experienced camper, it is nearly impossible to set this one up by yourself at your first trial. I have done this 3 times now, and next time, I do think that I will be able to set it up alone under 1 hour.

Inside is very specious. High ceiling provides an additional comfort particularly if you are like me 6'4". We slept very comfortably with 2 6 year olds and 2 adults. You could certainly fit more people, but we prefer being comfortable even in the wilderness.

Comments about Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Tent (2011 Model - While supplies last):

Great product. Very roomy. Bigger than I expected and very easy to set up. The awning is not that great in heavy rain, but few are. The zipper design on the door was a little cumbersome since there is a vertical and horizontal zipper. The hooks inside for the lantern and other items were great. I would have liked the floor to be made out of a sturdier material, but we used a tarp as an underlayment to protect it. If you are looking for a large family tent, you can't beat this one!

Comments about Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 Tent (2011 Model - While supplies last):

My wife and I usually camp on vacation and stay at least 1 week sometimes 2. We are 60 and 62 years of age and love to camp at a beach front campground in S. Carolina where it can get windy. We purchased the tent sight unscene [...] We set it up in our field under a tree for a trial campout with the grandkids. It took us about 45 minutes to get it up. I am sure it will take less time the next time. The poles that support the roof and sides are aleast twice as large as the poles in our old tent that we used for about 10 years. It rained one day very hard with very high wind and hale. The back of the tent blew down and there was only about 2 quarts of water in the tent. The water was very easy to get out due to design of the doors and it took me about 10 minutes to get everything back up. I am impressed that the tent wasn't destroyed as I am sure our old one would have been. There are a lot of big windows for air flow and a small sky lite that unzips if wanted. The sturdiness of the poles is what makes it a little heavy but it's worth it. The only draw back are the tent stakes, just buy better ones and the guy strings need some inprovement. The tension holder want to slide down so I clamped clothspins under it and it seemed to work pretty well. I am sure that it will survive any winds above 30 or 35 mph. as the wind that blew it down were at least 50 or better with hale.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

      Questions about this item:

Shelly A  How much does this tent weigh? My bf and I are getting older so we're wondering about how far we can carry it. Thanks for any reply! Shelly
RUSSELL M  It's really heavy, I'd say about 60 lbs in the bag. We love this tent though.
Shopper  When it was just 2 of us, we had a small Eureka tent which was supposed to fit 4. It held a king size blow up mattress & our stuff perfectly. Now we"re a family of 6 & need something bigger. I don"t like being crammed in, so we want something that we can spread out in a bit. We were very pleased with our small Eureka tent and used it for many years. We last used it a couple of years ago when we only had 2 kids, and it was awful--way too crowded & our stuff got wet from touching the sides of the tent. Is this the tent you would recommend for us? We would like to go car camping 2-3 times/year in mild weather. I would, however, like something affordable that will stand up to most rainstorms, since you never know...If not this tent, which one? Thanks! Margaret
SunnySports S  This is a good tent, very good. Can you draw out the 15 ft. x 12 ft. dimensions and place the family & gear as a test? My wife & I did this and it really worked. This is a dry tent!Have Fun Out There!Carl
