I need good back support when sleeping. I've never tried a hammock but they look like I would not be comfortable, sleeping in a "V" position. How could I possibly lie flat/straight in one of these?
ERIC O I have a firm, blue sleeping pad that I put in the hammock and then my sleeping bag. I still sleep with a bend, but it is remarkably comfortable. I am normally a side sleeper and have had to adjust to sleeping on more back more, but can sleep for a little while on each side as well. The advantages of a quick setup without the need for a flat, clear space outweigh not having a completely flat sleeping surface.
HARRISON S With the hammock being off of the ground, you are not going to be straight and laying flat because the weight of your body will make hammock sag in the middle. It is a comfortable sleep and I did not have any aches or pains after using it on our West Virginia camping trip. Totally enjoyed the hammock
and would use it every time I could. Harry. PS. I also set up a small air matress inside to make it a more comfortable sleep, and I stayed totally dry.
