is this good to use in a canoe?
Depends on the canoe used. A number of wicker or woven seats are damaged by these, so the long term use is not good for the canoe. I've always used a throwable cushion to pad my seat, and use the crazy creek at the campsite.
Yes, if you have a bench to sit on with no back, this would be a great use for the chair.
Definitely safe in a canoe as well as super comfy. We keep these in our cars for when we find ourselves in need of back support and tushy cushioning.
I doubt it. It kind of 'cradles' the user for the best support, almost like balancing in it when on the ground. It would be an awkward angle for a canoe.
Well,I've never been in a canoe but since you can use it sitting on the ground,I would say probably yes.
We use ours primarily for use on bleachers during sporting events. I don't think it would be ideal in a canoe, because you tend to sit more upright when paddling a canoe, and this chair is best when you're able to lean back. It provides support for your back when you are leaning back on it. I think in that leaning back position, you wouldn't have as much control & strength in your arms for paddling. But we have never tried the seat in a canoe.
I guess it depends in your canoe seat size. If your seat width is below half size of this chair bottom size then I wont recommend it. But this is good for 1 night camping trip and you can use this chair as a camping mattress.
I don't think it would be very safe in a canoe.
