Great Multi-Purpose Hiking Pants

These are light weight, very comfortable, and well-fitting I don't think they would qualify as "heavy duty" but they are sort of warm weather hiking pants and that's exactly what I wanted and expected.

Performed well in hot weather!

5 stars because I can’t really think of any negatives. Bought my regular 34/30 size, and these fit perfectly. Just trying them on I was impressed with how light and comfortable they are. Really like the included belt. Did a nice hot 11 mile hike with a full pack, and, how much better than wearing my cotton work pants!! These pants got really sweated out, but were never uncomfortable or heavy. Dried quickly as well. I ordered another pair right away! Yes, I would recommend.

Great Price at Sunny Sports...

Pro's: Lightweight, cool, functional pockets. Con's: Belt loops need to be lengthened to accommodate a 2" belt. The provided belt is worthless.

Not a good experience

I've been the same size and weight for 40 years, so I know that a 32 waist should be just a little large on me, but 31 waist isn't always available. The Silver Ridge cargo runs small. The waist should have been a little big but it was snug and the thighs and seat we're too small. I decided to gamble and exchange for a 34 waist and Sunny Sports was a pleasure to deal with. As expected, the 34 waist was a little big which was okay but the exchange came through as a long inseam length, which wasn't the original order. I'm not going through this again so an alteration is required. The Columbia sizing is wrong and Sunny Sports screwed up the exchange. I'm being generous with a 3 because the product itself is ok.

Fit is same as zip off version

This summer we purchased the zip off version of this pant and husband thought it was great. We purchased the same size for this pair and they fit perfectly. Quality control seems to be very good which can be rare these days.
