Comments about Columbia Hailtech II Jacket for Men:

Coat is light - light! I thought it was a shell, but it's a very light spring/fall jacket, best used for rain gear. It is not a shell, other than that, I like it.

Comments about Columbia Hailtech II Jacket for Men:

The is strictly a fall weather or summer/spring rain coat. It offers no insulation and cannot be used as a shell outside in the cold. I bought it thinking that it would be perfect for a light shell, but it is not thick enough. It will be perfect for cooler weather and a sweathshirt under it, but not built for a winter coat.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is dark compass same as mountain?
cindy s  We are sorry, since we don't carry the color mountain we are unable to compare colors.
Shopper  If this jacket is insulated. What is it insulated with?
STEVEN M  No, this is essentially a windbreaker/rain coat. It is best suited for late spring or early fall weather, and rain as well. I have not worn it outside since purchase due to the cold and snow. It does 'act' as a windbreaker in that it will but back on the wind, but offers no 'cold weather' protection other than a cool breeze.
