Comments about Coleman Exponent Denali Expedition Multi-Fuel Stove:

This stove is very powerful, stoutly constructed, and very stable when set up. Boils 24oz (dehydrated meal and a cup of coffee) of water extremely quickly-- test boil at 6,500ft, cold water, 50 degree air temperature, using a in inverted canister was well under 3:00 minutes.

Much better design than the MSR Whisperlite I had previously in almost every way I can think of, and it doesn't seem to build up carbon fouling nearly as quickly when using white gas. Also doesn't require priming with alcohol like the MSR did.

Good value for a stove that will burn pretty much anything flammable with the exception of alcohol.

      Only downsides would be:
      1. Touchy simmer control, but you get used to it.
      2. Canister valve was tightened down hard when I opened it, so the valve leaked slightly. I took out the gasket, rolled it between my fingers, put it back together and everything has been fine for at least 10 more uses. I just don't store it closed tightly in the off position.
      3. Coleman liquid fuel bottles aren't interchangeable and can be hard to find. Not a huge deal though-- easy enough to pour from another brand of bottle into the coleman bottle.

Comments about Coleman Exponent Denali Expedition Multi-Fuel Stove:

I backpack the Eastern Sierra summer & winter and require a no nonsense reliable stove that can easly burn white gas and canister fuel without changing jets or disasembly. This is a high quality USA made expedition, mountaineering, backpacking, car camping stove that can cook for one of a group, it does it all.

Comments about Coleman Exponent Denali Expedition Multi-Fuel Stove:

2 weeks & 150 miles backpacking, cooking for a crew of 12, between 8,000 and 12,000 feet; White gas & Butane mix. Fast, easy, light, and fuel efficient. Could have left half of the planned fuel at home. There are smaller, lighter, less powerful stoves for solos and duets. That's fine. Cooking for a quartet or more? Get a Denali while you can. You will not regret it.

          Questions about this item:

Par T  The specs don't list butane as one of the fuels for this stove. Does this stove include the inverted butane stand?
NICHOLAS S  Yes. It will burn the common butane/propane mix fuel on an included inverted valve and stand combo. My experience has been that it does so with fairly efficient fuel consumption at high altitude-- more efficient than other inverted setups I have used or personally seen in use. Hope this helps. After using it on a few trips, I'm a supporter!
