Comments about Camelbak Octane LR 70 oz. Hydration Pack - Discontinued Model:

I live in Las Vegas and I needed something to keep me hydrated while training for my first marathon, so I chose the lightest and most "stable" Camelbak I could find. It works great, however it does shift a little bit, you need to keep the waist straps very tight and it doesn't keep the water cold very long in this desert heat (although on a 2-hour run, what do you expect?). Overall I would recommend it, I have found no other solution for long distance runners thus far, although I haven't tried the lumbar dual water bottle strap that some others prefer.

    Questions about this item:

Morgan L  Did anyone use this to run to work?
PETER E  I just use it for mountain biking, but with the straps cinched down it isn't going anywhere. Not sure where you'd put your clothes as space is pretty limited, but you could probably fit clean underoos inside and tuck a sports towel in the back pouch.
