I found I had trouble distributing the weight of items in the pack without the pack pulling on my shoulders.

Comments about Camelbak Octane 14+ 100 oz. Hydration Pack:

This pack is great! I got it for use on a Grand Canyon day hike. You can cinch this pack up really small for biking or maybe even running, or it can expand large enough for a strenuous all day hike with room to store multiple layers of clothing and all your gear. I've used it for all day hiking, short hikes, airplane travel and just toting around things around from place to place. Because of the expandable storage the main compartment is awkwardly shaped. It just takes some getting used to and there is nothing wrong with it. The reservoir in this is huge and will last you for all but your most extreme all day hikes.

Comments about Camelbak Octane 14+ 100 oz. Hydration Pack:

Great pack! I used it skiing, mountain biking and adventure racing. It's light, fits well, has plenty of room, comfortable, and adjustable. The only complaint I have is the way the main compartment opens is odd, it's at a very odd angle making it hard to load and unload things. But all in all it's worth the price. A must buy!

          Questions about this item:

Shopper  I"m planning on hiking Longs Peak this summer, would this be a good fit for a female 5"4" 110lbs? I"m looking for a light weight pack, with a shorter torso for comfort, if you could let me know if this would fit my build. Thanks!
SunnySports S  I don"t know how rugged Longs Peak is, but this pack is made for one day light & fast. For fit, Here is how to measure your torso:Using a flexible tape measure, measure the length of your torso from the C7 vertebra (at the base of your neck) to the spot on the spine level with the top of the bony hip structure called the iliac crest. Do it two or three times to get an accurate measurement. If you are between frame sizes, always go with the smaller size. A lot of people don"t realize how important this is to comfort.
