Excellent bag!

I ordered this bag a month ago to use on day hikes and while mountain biking. Up to now, I had been relying on waterbottles and a North Face Pandora backpack (which is awesome in it's own right), but was irritated that every time I wanted H20, it was a big production. I've never owned a Camelbak and was worried about how spendy it was, but now I think it's worth every dime. This bag fits great, and has sufficient space for a light rainjacket or sweater, a hat, a multitool, my cell phone, card...

Just what you need for a day on the trails

Has a good amount of space. Looks like it's made to last. Best price I found on this pack. Haven't had a chance to fully test, will update review.

Big improvement over the old camelbak units

Bought 4 (in different colors) for grand kids. They absolutely love them and their mom and dad are probably going to buy these kind to replace their old and smaller capacity camelbaks. Great sale price deal too!

Mule

The mule worked out great for off road motorcycle riding (trials). You don't even realize it is there. The 3 liters of water when loaded with ice stayed cool all day. There's room for repair items in the pack.

Questions about this item:

Kyle J  Does the price include a bladder?
Diana K  Yes, it does come with a Reservoir.
Shopper  What type of padding system does this MULE have, NV or XV?
Thomas H  It is not NV. This is the regular MULE that doesn't have the more advanced NV design.
Joseph S  This MULE has the XV padding system.
richard f  I'm not sure the difference but it is definitely nice and holds the pack off your sweaty back with channels that let air circulate Thru the pads and onto your back. 20 mi rides in so cal heat aren't as bad as they used to be with my older hawg
Shopper  What is the difference (besides the price), between the Camelbak MULE 2008 and the Camelbak Mule 2009
SunnySports S  The new range of colors available and the beefier suspension system
