This was my firt camelbak. I use it for mountain biking and hiking. It is very comfortable and has enough room for all the essentials for a ride or a hike without feeling too bulky. I would definitely recommend this product.

After writing my response, I was lead to the product review. It does have the Antidote Reservoir.

Unless the pack expressly has a date newer than 7/2010 in the name that it has the older style reservoir. The pack we purchased did not have the Antidote Reservoir.

Would this work for horseback trail riding?

I don't see why not! On me it sits above my hips so I don't think it would interfere with a saddle, and I am very small. If your trail riding saddle has a really high cantle I guess it could be annoying but my guess is that it would be fine.

Definitely! I use mine for Mountain bike riding and hiking. It has a couple small pockets for keys and light snacks too
