I know this is a woman's pack, but can you tell it's for women? or could a man use it?
Made specially for woman.
Depends on what color you get. I have the black one and it can work for a man, however the straps on it are way different than a man's backpack. So I would not recommend having a man use this pack...unless they have a really small frame. This pack is cut for a woman's frame...no doubt.
Hope that helped.
I wore the one I got for the wifey....and it works just fine! I'm 5'11'' 200 lbs, she is 5'4'' 140
It is very adjustable and comfortable. Not really sure what makes it a 'womens' camelback....
No, it's very neutral. I think it's the size Although it's not small, capacity wise, it might be a better fit for a woman. And it's not girly looking. The color is brown and tan.
The straps are designed to accommodate breasts, but It would probably still work for a man. The straps are very adjustable. I purchased the black one and love it.
I bought this pack and I can't tell it is for a women. This is the first one I have ever owned so there is nothing to compare it to, but I think both could use it easily. by the way it is the best purchase I have ever made. I love it.
Hi Rachel - A man could use it depending on the length of his torso. If he has a long torso, it won't fit will. There is nothing else that really makes this for women other than length.
thank you all!! so very helpful
i would say that this pack is sort of scaled down in size which is why it is best for a smaller person. you wouldnt really know it's meant for a woman (except mine is yellow, a terrific color!). i am a 5'3" woman of average dimensions (generally a size 12) and when i have this pack on me, it is up to the very top of my back, where packs generally end at the top, to pretty much right at the top of my butt. it appears to be smaller in all dimensions than the Recon North Face pack. it wouldnt hold as much, nor fit as large a person.
i bought this pack for its smaller than average size, and love it since it is very lightweight, so doesnt start out heavy, empty.
if the man in question is of slender build and not too tall, this should work for him. the breast strap might not have enough extra strap on it for a muscular man.
hope this helps with your decision.
Yes you can use it for a man's backpack. I use it every weekend when I go on my hiking trips.
Ok, so the one I purchased was brown with white-ish trim and a gal or guy could use it. I sent it back b/c I wanted a 30L pack, but if I had kept it, my boyfriend would not have felt less "manly" to use it occasionally.
I really like this hydration pack. Have used for several hikes and it holds lunch, dog biscuits, binoculars and jacket easily. My husband has already said he plans to use this skiing this winter even though he also has another hydration pack of his own.
It really depends on the body shape. This one works best with a narrower torso and flares at the hip. A guy with broad muscualr shoulders would likely not find it comfortable, but a man with a slender build could wear it, There is a similar model for men. This is a great pack.
I think that the only thing that seperates this from a mens pack is that the chest strap is higher. Its a great pack. plenty of storage. Make sure to get a clip for the tubing as it does not come with one.
A man could use it but its made to fit a womans body. The straps are even made in an S shape to account for our curves. The adjustable sternum strap is higher I think than on a mans pack.
No can't tell its for women. my boyfriend tried mine out and was thinking about getting one for himself
I have the black one and a man could def get away with using it and not looking like he's wearing his girlfriend/wife/sister's pack. You should know that the women's packs are smaller to fit a woman's waist and torso. So, if you're looking for a smaller man or teenager, it would work fine.
I own the black one and you can't tell it's a women's pack (although it might be obvious with the other colors) but I am pretty sure the bag is formatted to fit a women's body better than a man's. For example the straps are supposed to be particularly for women but in all honesty I don't see much of a difference between my bag and the bag my boyfriend got. In my opinion a man can use it as well.

I bought it for my wife and I've used it. So, yeah -- if the guy doesn't mind the look of it, I'd say why not?
The shape of the pack is a bit more rounded than the mens packs which are typically more square. And the circle punch out detailing is a bit more feminine. Other than though, you would never know it's not a unisex pack.
I am a man 5'9'' and I can adjust the straps and it feel fine.
not by the look of it. certain ones are made for women by the shape because of the way it fits to the small curve of a woman's back, but overall the look of it doesn't look feminine.
Sorry....I see you were asking about styling. I don't think there's anything about styling (aside from some of the colors) that makes this "look like" a woman's pack.
A slender, short statured man could use this pack....say 5'6" or so. My daughter and I both own this pack. We are both about 5'1" and fairly broad across the shoulders. I have to say for the money we paid on Sunny Sports, this is a great day pack. Hope your man is a little guy! Go for it! :)
That was my idea too. You cannot, but the width is more slender, just a little. It it my teenage son.
This question depends on the shape of the man
I am female, 5'4" and the bag's straps hug my shoulders perfectly. Also, the chest straps and hip straps also seem to fit very well. However, I don't know if a 6 foot, broad shouldered dude could comfortably fit the same way because it appears that the bag and straps and are made for a smaller build.
My smaller guy cousin could fit this bag. However, I dont' know how he would feel about shitake brown and white.
Hope this helps!
