These goggles run a bit small. My daughter's head seems normally sized for a seven year old and they are pretty snug and not very wide. Sounds like you would be better off with a standard/adult sized goggle. As far as color is concerned I have always felt that amber was the most clear but that red can provide the most depth perception on overcast snowy days. May be different for other people though.
Goggles typically come in adult and youth sizes. Some brands differentiate between men and women. Colors will vary accordingly. Some goggles are designed to work with eyeglasses. That will be indicated somewhere. The foam rubber is notched and the frame may be a bit wider to allow for glasses. My daughter has a pair of Bolle goggles which work with her eyeglasses.
Good luck but really they're just goggles and most all of them will keep the wind and weather out of your eyes.
Michelle O Hi Ranier,
Thanks for your speedy reply. I cant seem to find any dimensions. How then will I know. I'm running out of time as I still have to look for many other things for the whole family. Please help as I don't want to waste time returning (I don't hv the time for the process) and wasting money in the event it cant fit. Thanks.
RAINER H OK, my recommendations for beginner goggles... For your sone either the Bolle Mojo or Carve. Low price, well sized per your description, quality. For your husband probably the Bolle X9 or X700 since they are OTG (over the glasses). They cost a bit more but if you dont have the time to have prescription inserts made up and OTG goggle is the way to go. Colors are up to you, shy away from clear if you feel there will be bright sun.
Good luck, have a good time.
