really great value...excellent poles...not the lightest, but all around solid performer at less than 1/2 the price of top of the line...especially love the flick locks...highly recommend for standard hiking if a few extra ounces aren't a huge deal...pura vida!

Comments about Black Diamond Trail Compact Poles (pair):

I thought that due to the price these might be cheap. SO WRONG! I have used these multiple times and they can take a beating. I cannot believe i doubted them. I have had no issues with adjusting them, and i was pleased that the tips did great in the mud. I love that they provide me with great stablility and they pack very well. Headed to Arches/Zion in a few weeks- cannot wait to take these babies out for 6 days of fun.

Strong sturdy poles. One pole I received had a loose screw, but when I tightened it, it held well, but pole was a little harder to collapse.
