For a given size (110,110,120, or 130) is there any adjustment possible? For example, one may want to make them slightly longer for downhill than for uphill.
Or are the poles a fixed length?
Mark S
Poles are a fixed length.

Poles are fixed length when fully extended, but the handles have enough length to adjust your hand position on them.

The poles are not adjustable. I just choke up or down on them as needed. I also adjust the way the straps support my hand as I move my hands up or down. I prefer these to the other designs I've seen.

Not physically. In other words, it is a pair of fixed length tracking pole once you put the three section together. But, the handle is designed to have two holding areas divided by a divider so that you can move your hand between the two areas for virtually "extending" or shortening" the length of the pole as needed in downhill or uphill situations.

The Z poles I bought are not adjustable. There is a titanium pair that is slightly adjustable, but they weigh a little more. I made the switch from ordinary heavy adjustable poles to the ultra-lightweight Zs with some concern about lack of adjustability and found they are just fine. So my take is buy the lightest weight non-adjustable and decide to be happy with them! (I also worried I was buying them a smidgen too small, but I find I prefer them on the small size. And I've already hiked several hundred miles with them.)

They are fixed and you can't change them

They are not adjustable at all and you cannot change the baskets either. Great poles though - I love mine.
