Dries you off quickly. Very compact. When folded it is about the size and thickness of a DVD case, compare that to a full size beach towel. Easy fit in any dive bag.

These towels are so good, I don't know where to start. They're extremely lightweight and take up NO space in your dive bag or luggage (if you're traveling). They're extremely absorbent; use one
after diving (I'd recommend the medium or large size)and then pop it back into your gear bag. Dries out fast, sturdy and easy to care for. I have one in each size. LOVE THEM.
Ordinary terry towels are heavy, bulky and take forever to dry, especially in the field. When you need a compact and quick drying solution, but still want that traditional feel, reach for the Ultra-Compact Micro-Terry Towel by Gear Aid Tactical. Utilizing a microfiber fabric with a unique terry texture (micro-terry), this highly absorbent towel soaks up large amounts of water, but dries much quicker than standard towels. With an antimicrobial silver treatment that helps prevent odors and a mesh lined toiletry bag featuring wet/dry storage, this isn't your typical terry towel. Don't get bogged down with wet, bulky towels. Instead, grab the Ultra-Compact Micro-Terry Towel by Gear Aid Tactical and see what everyone's been talking about. You'll be glad you made the switch. Included with the towel is a mesh lined toiletry bag that features a wet/dry storage with quiet zipper. Also includes snap loop with enlarged name tag that attaches to clothing, gear or equipment. Towel is available in multiple sizes.

How big is the stored towel in bag for the XL one?
KAREN C
I don't have it in XL, but I do have the Large towel, and you can use its bag size for reference: the mesh part that holds the L towel is 9 x 14.5" with a 1" gusset on the sides only. It has a second mesh slot with no gusset 9 x 13.75", and a 3 .75" flap (the tan part). These bags have a weak spot, and that is the plastic snap. It fits so tightly that when you try to unsnap it, it can easily break off from the flap. It just happened to me as I was measuring my bag, and it happened with another same bag (which McNett replaced – so I'll be calling them again about this bag).

This "towel" is the thickness of a chamois cloth, about 1/16 inch or less, it's just a much larger rectangle of material. It does a good job of absorbing water.folded it's about 4 x 6 and possibly 1/2 inch thick. I lay it flat at the bottom of my camera gear for extra padding. understand this is not a regular towel, this is great for wiping water off or wrapping around to keep the wind off. It is not fluffy.I bought two, one for my camera gear and one for me after dives or swimming. it's great and take very little room and is light weight.

Thanks for the info. I have the Innovative Scuba towels and love them. Super absorbent and roll up nicely. Looking at alternatives to those, hard to find. Friends keep borrowing on trips. This looks to be about the same and good alternative.
