Shopper Do you think the quality of these poles is good compared to the click lock type of poles?
ROBERT P They work very well and are good quality; a little hard to adjust when your hands are cold and stiff (too hard to twist to loosen or tighten for adjustment), but overall I'm happy with them and would buy them again.
DEBORAH T we have never used click lock poles so can't say if they are better or not, but have no complaints about the Tubbs 3-part poles.
JOHN A Do not know about the "click lock type of poles"
I am very happy with Tubbs
PHIL M I think the quality is much better. They are easily adjustable and stay where you set them. I would highly recommend them.....especially at this sale price!
CHARLOTTE B We purchased the Tubbs 3-part poles several years ago and have had no problems with the product. The adjustable length mechanism has been useful in the steep mountain range where we live in the Rockies. Still going strong!!
BARRRT B I'm not familiar with click locks, but I can say the only frustrating thing about the Tubbs poles is the twist lock. Getting the height adjusted right for conditions (which do change during a hike) and twisting the lock to hold when wearing mittens/gloves is difficult. Often have to take the mitten off to really get a grip.
