Great Snowshoe

By Michael B.

Terrific for anything except deep powder (may need a larger show for that). Very comfortable binding - the shoe feels "glued" to your boot. Very stable as well - no experience of a foot sliding off to the side. Very comfortable and light feel for multi-mile hikes in snow.

BEST snowshoes on the market today!!!

Make these the only snowshoes you own. You can summit mountains AND run in these bad boys!!!

Tubbs Flex ALP 22 Snowshoe for Women (pair)
The award-winning Tubbs Flex ALP 22 Snowshoe for Women will definitely put the excitement back into your outdoor adventure. This product has earned bragging rights when it won the 2010 Outside Magazine Gear of the Year award. But there's more to this pair of snowshoes than just a title. Featuring an ergonomically designed FLEX Tail, this snowshoe for women absorbs shock from heel strike to minimize the amount of stress on your joints, allowing you to snowshoe farther and longer with reduced risk of body strain. Its micro-serrated 3D-Curved Traction Rails and the ActiveLift heel lift are optimized for steep, icy terrain. Plus, this snowshoe features a gender-specific ActiveFLEX binding with patented Control Wings that offer a combination of comfort, lightweight control, support, and ease of use. It even has a carbon steel toe crampon, which is ergonomically placed under foot for maximum weighted traction and responsiveness. Another incredible addition is the Rotating Toe Cord design that reduces cardio-respiratory strain by 7%, minimizing possible accidents and injuries. Infused with all the right features to keep you comfortable and secure, the Tubbs Flex ALP 22 Snowshoe for Women lets you tackle the extreme backcountry terrain anytime.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  what size are these? I weigh 120 and wanted a 21". Do you have any available in this size. My question is about the FLEX AlP 22 snowshoe for woman.
cindy s  The size for this snowshoe is 22" we apologize but currently we do not have a 21 in this particular snowshoe.
diane g  I hear these snowshoes do not fold into each other in order to carry them compactly--how does one carry them?
RICHARD W  I found it best to put them together bottom to bottom. So the steel claws are touching each other. Then wrap the velcro strap around them that came with the shoes when I bought them. I then throw them in my backpack or carry them by grabbing the blue top of the shoe. Hope this helps.
CARLA R  Hi Diane. You are right, these snowshoes do not nest well. I simply lash one to each side of my backpack with the toe of the shoeshoe near the top of the pack, the tail at the bottom, bindings facing in, crampons facing out so that the snowshoe follows the shape of my pack. I hope this helps! And for what it is worth, I love the snowshoes. They are excellent for alpine work, day to day hiking and running. An all 'round great snowshoe that you can almost forget are on your feet. They are super fast and easy to get in and out of as well...a plus in the mountains when switching between snowshoes and crampons. Less finger freeze! :) CHEERS! -Carla
Shopper  What year model is this pair?
Zack W  This is the updated model. Enjoy it! Zack.
