Fit right on my inflatable kayak super easy and very durable. Make kayak stay in line!

Make sure you don't waste a minute of playtime when you use a Sevylor Skeg on your kayak. This skeg fits Sevylor Tahiti, Fiji and Clear Creek kayaks (see SKU's: SLRC4125, SLR4132, SLRC5233). Simply attach it to your vessel and it can help you keep a straighter course in windy conditions. Your paddling will go further with this skeg, which can increase your speed and keep you steadier on the water. This new directional skeg helps you maneuver better and gives you greater control in the water. Skeg is made from durable plastic and is easy to install.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Life G  Where was it made?
TODD W  Don’t know but still using both after 4 years
Vela S  hello! do you have any video how install this how install Sevylor Skeg to inflatable kayak ?
JOSEPH D  With mine, it had a slot that you just slide it onto the boat.
BOB J  Very easy! Just need to untie one half of rope to slide it in then it pops into hole that rope goes through. You'll see when you get it. Just leave it on even when you deflate it. The boat is just Ok without it. The skeg makes it awesome!!!!!
CHARLES S  no I don't but it is really easy it just hooks on bottom and over the top
STACEY H  it installed to ours easily. You install after inflated. Ours fits under our top flap and there is a small slot that holds it in place. Made a huge difference with keeping kayak going straight. Worth the purchase
Shopper  how do i attach it to my iinflatable kayak?
JOHN B  the skeg has a hook incorporated into the design which attaches it to the back of the kayak. once you get it one it is very secure. highly recommend the skeg which significantly improves ability to manuever kayak in a somewhat straight line.
CHRIS N  with the air out it fits under the spray shield between the pontoons... then inflate and it is snug
CHARLES S  it just slips in on top and bottom once inflated if you look at back you will see a slit and it just slips on
MARTHA W  When the kayak is under- inflated simply hook the skeg through the cord at the rear of the boat. When the boat is fully inflated, the skeg will be held securely in place.
CRAIG L  loosen the back cover. slip skeg securely over edge of kayak. make sure the hook on the skeg is in the black rubber circle on the back of the kayak. definitely helps me stay in a straight course.
PHILIP O  It goes in the back I does not help because it is out of the water most of the time.
CLAUDIA S  The directions provided with the skeg are spot on. One just needs to add some muscle as you maneuver the skeg horizontally into the aft top slot between the kayak hull and kayak skirt. Once attachment piece makes it through the tight quarters which assure the skeg does not wiggle or get loose, you can turn skeg vertical and the attachment crook will fit down into slot and the outer piece seen in the photo fits to the seaward aft.
BOB J  You have to untie the back skirt and slip the top half of the skeg in (so the rudder sticking out like in the picture). You need to take a little care when deflating and packing so it does snap. Trust me it will make the kayak run straight. The boat is pretty useless without the skeg.
