Shopper Are these good for carrying a laoptop?
MELVA T Not good for a laptop as it has no padding....
JUSTICE M It's OK, but it's not specifically a laptop bag. It doesn't have the extra padding or restraint you would find in a laptop bag. The large is quite large and has lots of room for things to move around in - I wanted mine for papers and books, and while I bring my laptop in it, it's in a padded sleeve when I do.
DAVE M Yes. It is not as padded as some but it works very well. I have a Mac book pro. It does not fit in the back pocket but that doesnt matter to meI keep it in the main section and the cords in the back area. It is very well made and it looks great!
NICHOLAS M That is exactly what I bought and use mine for. I commute daily by scooter or bicycle and wanted a messenger bag to carry my laptop and protect it from getting wet should I get caught it a downpour. I have the small size bag and use it to carry my 15.6" screen laptop. I do use a neoprene laptop sleeve for some extra protection for the computer, which I would recomend doing because the bag itself only has padding on the back. The laptop in the sleeve fits pretty snug in the bag, but leaves enough room to carry the power supply and mouse, etc. I have gotten rained on several times and the contents of the bag always stay bone dry.
ELISA H Depends on your laptop. I don't have a fancy / thin one and mine doesn't fit in the laptop pocket. I can fit it in the bag but it is really tight. If I have my laptop and a book or something I either can't close the flap or I have to fight with it for a few minutes to make it close. However, I have the smaller bag. If you have a chunky computer, definitely go with the bigger bag.
GARY H It's a very good bag, the laptop caveat is that my 15" laptop with sleeve sometimes catches on the interior water bottle pouches. It fits well, but doesn't always drop smoothly in.
JEREMY F the inside pickets are not a factor if you are using the inside sleeve, that is, if you are carrying a small laptop. The padding is quite robust...
JEREMY F The *small* bag is well padded on the bottom and back side (the side on your hip) so yeah, good for a small laptop. I carry my x220 in it and it fits great (there's even a little room left) even with a tall battery. The inside divider is not padded but you just need to make sure your screen is on the padded (hip) side. I think it's a great minimalist solution. My only complaint is that it is not quite as easy as a timbuk2bag to get in and out of, but that's the price you pay when you want a waterproof bag, which this is and timbuk2 most certainly isn't.
BRYAN C I would like to answer the question, but it have not received the bag yet. I placed the order on 10/13, and as of today 10/24, it has not been delivered.
I sent an email asking the status, and no response.
MICHAEL V These bags are great for carrying a laptop. Check out the sizing though, as the small size only fits small laptops.
My 13" MacBook Pro fits in there great. Love the bag!
FRANCIS V The rigid structure of the bag offers a good protection for a laptop. Note, a 14" Thinkpad tends to get stuck in the inside side pockets of the small model.
