Questions about this item:
Shopper does this watch come with a body band for the heart rate monitoring? can you check your heart rate just by wearing the watch?
TRAVIS N It comes with a chest strap. I however would not recommend the Tech4o. Mine had issues and I was unable to get any technical support. Set up is difficult and heart rate is inconsistent at best.
JOSE G the watch comes with a chest strap that is used to measure you heart rate.
you have to wear both (chest wrap and watch) to check your heart rate. watch alone doesnt do it.
PETER E Yes it comes with a body band for measuring heart rate and a PC-link for downloading data. But there is no GPS.
STEVEN M The watch comes with a chest strap for heart rate monitoring. The watch alone will not measure your heart rate.
LEO F No you need a chest strap as with all decent heart rate monitors I know of at this time. I found this watch to be poor quality and did not maintain heart rate well so switched to timex ironman and is better.
Marvin H Is the dial backlite? Is the face plastic?
JEAN R It is indiglo, and the face is glass.
TOM D The dial is backlit but mine if pretty dim. I think the face is glass. but not positive.
HOLLY C The watch does have a backlight when you press a button for it. There's a night mode too. If you set it, the light will come on when you press any button.
The face is glass. Would definitely recommend getting a screen protector for it. I cut my own from a camera screen protector and it works well.
Marvin H Hello Holly,
Many thanks for the information and the tip about protection for the face. I'm placing my order immediately. This should really great on the trail.
Many thanks,

ROMMEL M It is backlite and the face made of plastic.
RICHARD M Dial is backlit, but I use it infrequently. Also, the face is plastic so it will scratch, but I do not have scratches yet, and I treat the watch tough. I would recommend this watch as a cheap alternative to a garmin gps watch. It is reasonably accurate and easy to use. I use this watch in the gym while running on a treadmill. I own a garmin 305 and suunto observer. It is bigger than the suunto, so I would not recommend it as an everyday watch unless you are a big person. It is great for camping as well and easy to change batteries. My only beef is the heart rate monitor somtimes gives a higher reading than what is actual, but it is not a big problem. I would buy it again.
