Our family are creatures of comfort for sure, I purchased these pillows to cut down on space from taking our normal pillows from the house. They were definitely a lot smaller, but perfect for camping with. Once I washed them, I didn't want to roll them to reduce the fluffiness, so we took them ready to use, next time I'll try and re-roll them and see how long it takes to gain the same level of fluffiness.

I was hoping it would compact a little more when closed up and would expand a little more when opened up. It was okay, but I think it would be better if it had half as much filling (for compactness and weight reduction) with an air pillow inside that could be inflated to give it volume and size. It's okay, but not great. It met it's basic purpose on my backpacking trip in Colorado though it took more room than I was hoping.

Lumpy

Comments about Therm-a-rest Compressible Pillow:
It's rather lumpy and stiff when first loosed from case. Even fully expanded hours later, it still feels lumpy to the hand, but not on the head or neck when laying on it. Will do just fine.

I was pleasantly surprised with the comfort of this pillow. I got the medium and as with previous compressible pillows I have used, I expected it to be too thin with not enough loft. But that is not the case as it slowly expands to a comfortable loft. Great for backpacking or just having on the go when you need to catch a few z's in your car (which is where mine lives). Another good product from thermarest.

I bought a small pillow. Fits in my mummy style sleeping bag and provides super comfort.
Very Comfortable

I have a thermarest trail lite sleeping pad which is very comfortable. I have done the sleeping without a pillow or using folded up clothes. I also tried the Kelty camp pillow. I expected a good product from Theremarest but they definately went above my expectations for comfort with this pillow. It is borderline more comfortable than the pillow I use on my bed every night. It does not pack up super small like some but for the comfort it is well worth it. I got the medium and it was much bigger than I was expecting. It packs up to about the size of a 1L Nalgene bottle aprox.
