I was replacing a synthetic fill coat that had lost it's ability to insulate well and was just too big. I wanted this hi-loft version of the down sweater because I am always cold, but wanted to be sure it fit so I went to a local store and tried on the regular down sweater as that was all they had in stock. I ordered the small, even though the regular version was a little shorter than I liked (hit just below my natural waistline) and still a little big in the body. When this Hi-loft coat arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it fits perfectly! The cut is closer to the body, so quite form fitting on me without being tight, and the hem pretty much covers my rear-end. I am 5'6" and 135 lbs and 36AA, so know that the size small really is small compared to the current version of the down sweater!

As far as the coat itself, it feels quite light yet very lofty. The zippers and materials seem to be of good quality and so far haven't found feathers coming out, but have only worn it twice. The sky blue color is pretty and bright without being too wild like some of patagonia's recent colors.

Bought this jacket to take on winter hiking trips -It's an excellent packable jacket - with wonderful wind blocking properties - I'm very happy I purchased it.

I wasn't sure how much difference there was between the High loft and the regular Patagonia down sweater. The High loft is definitely slightly heavier and much warmer. It is as warm as I would need for a NH winter.
