Platypus premium hydration system is loaded with improved features like the new and easy-to-clean wide-mouth SlideLock closure with secondary reinforcement that ensures an easy and solid closure every time. They have also added a quick-disconnect fitting so you can remove, clean and refill your Big Zip without re-routing your hose.

      I'm an avid AT section hiker, having hiked almost 1,000 miles of the AT now. I've used most all the Platypus Hosers and Big Zip hydration bladders, they are all great, lightweight, easy to use hydration bladders for backpacking. The big advantage of the Big-Zip bladders is the quick disconnect fitting at the bladder, plus the wider mouth size. This makes it a bit easier to refill, and a bit easier to get the bladder in and out of a backpack without having to remove other stuff to make it fit. The Big Zip makes a good camp water carrier too, I remove it from my pack, carry it to the water source and fill it up. Treat water with Aqua Mira or Steripen. Great product!

          This hydration reservoir... it's simply amazing. It literally takes less then 5 seconds and EVERY single drop in the bladder is out. You can CLEAN and DRY this bladder in less then 2 minutes. No more nonsense with curved brushes, pricey tablets, etc. This is simply the best reservoir created. Osprey doesn't even come close with their 'revolutionary' framed and state of the art reservoir. This reservoir is amazing!!!!!

            I used the product during a recent trek in Indonesia and it served me well. With this product, I was able to access water easily and keep myself hydrated throughout the trek. I love it. I would recommend buyers of this product to purchase a cap as well to keep the mouthpiece clean and hygenic.
