        Comments about MSR HyperFlow Microfilter:

I carry this filter when in areas that have water sources so I don't have to carry so much water all the time. It's great, easy and fast to use, and the water tastes wonderful. I love how light and small it is; much lighter and smaller than another bottle and I don't need to worry much about running out of water. My filter is now the envy of all my friends and it's a great value!

          Comments about MSR HyperFlow Microfilter:

I purchased this water filter for backpacking in the mountains. I am quite happy with it after my third trip. The pump is easy to operate, compact, and lightweight. MSR paid attention to the details with this unit. No need to pull the water bladder out of your pack, just pull off the bite valve and the filter will attach directly to the hose for easy filling. The outer portion of the water outlet slides in to a platypus bladder screw top, or most standard plastic water bottles. I didn't try the Nalgene bottle adapter, opting to leave it behind to save weight. Who wants to carry a heavy container like that in to the back country anyhow?

Cleaning the unit is easy, but getting the vales in the right direction can be confusing at first. I noticed when I handed the filter to someone unfamiliar with it, they needed a little extra help getting it right the first time. It's pretty easy to mess up and make the pump inoperable, but a little attention to the valves and you're golden.

          Comments about MSR HyperFlow Microfilter:

I used this filter for a week and it started having major problems. I tried to back flush it and clean it like all of the other filtration systems I have used over the years but it just would not work. I do NOT recommend this product for any practical field application.
