DESCRIPTION
In a world that expects liquid-fuel stoves to have one setting (hot), the DragonFly stands out. The DragonFly offers an unrivaled range of continuous and immediate flame control. Simmer a delicate sauce over a candle flame or melt snow quickly over a blowtorch with a twist of the flame adjuster. The continued popularity and performance of the DragonFly can be attributed to the many features invented by MSR.

This product can only be shipped to U.S. addresses.

FEATURES
  • First ever dual-valve design offers an unrivaled range of flame control - simmer to boil with a twist of the flame adjuster.
  • Three wide pot supports hold larger MSR pots or fry pans for gourmet cooking.
  • Burns white gas, kerosene and unleaded auto fuel.
  • Folds to 1/3 of its working size for easy storage.
  • Pioneered by MSR, the separate fuel bottle and pump keep the flame away from the fuel, which allows the use of a windscreen to make the stove burn hotter and more efficiently.
  • Self-Cleaning Shaker Jet helps clean out jet debris with a flick of the wrist.
  • Suspended Burner Cup enables the stove to burn hot and strong while reducing heat lost to the ground.
  • Fuel bottle not included.
  • Heat reflector and windscreen included.

Comments about MSR DragonFly Stove:

I LOVE this stove! In the backcountry, there is little better than making camp and eating real food, while others wonder in amazment eating their freeze dried goo. With this stove, I am able to saute onions, simmer sauce, and boil massive amounts of water quickly, using any fuel I am able to find. As long as you are carefull, fuel consumption is not excessive.

The Dragonfly is heavy for backpacking, but temp. control is the trade off to alcohol cooking. It sounds like a jet taking off when at full tilt. (If you stay in shared shelters and cook hot breakfast, beware grumpy hikers waking up to the sound of your stove lighting.) The noise is the biggest draw back for me, but for a foody in the backcountry... you can't ask for much more!

Comments about MSR DragonFly Stove:

Initially had trouble with regulating the fuel supply, but with a little practise, I love it. Cooking with a Dragonfly was easy.
Would recommend the manufacturer use a longer fuel line for added stability of a great product.
