    This hat is very warm. Had this on at high altitudes around 0 deg temps and head/ears never got cold. Hat is perfect for use under a helmet. Its a very snug fit (but comfortable) for those with larger heads, but I think that's expected with a beanie. The fleece is soft and does not make your head itchy like other beanies. I use it mostly for winter sports.
