Comments about Mountain Hardwear BMG 105 Alpine Pack:

I wanted a big pack to haul all my gear when winter backpacking. Winter gear just takes up more space. This pack holds everything I need it to and is very lightweight considering how much it holds. The shoulder straps, hip belt and suspension are quite comfortable. Packs of this capacity from other makers weigh several pounds more and that feature sold me on this pack. I am quite happy with the purchase.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear BMG 105 Alpine Pack:

Compresses down well for smaller loads. Light weight for a monster pack. Did a three day cold-weather 21-mile AT hike with it and it handled a 40 lb load fine. Have yet to fill it to capacity to test with maximum weight. I saw this elsewhere listed as not being hydration compatible but that's incorrect, a hydration bladder slides down into an inside pocket with a bladder clip via an outside horizontal zipper just above the shoulder straps with a double zipper and flap so you can exit the tube on either side of the zipper opening, therefore it doesn't require a dedicated tube exit hole.
