new favorite jacket!

Pros

  • Attractive
  • Comfortable
  • Lightweight
  • Warm

Cons

  • Sheds a little bit
  • zipper sticks

Best Uses

  • Every day
  • Insulating layer
  • Skiing

Can't believe how warm this coat is for how lightweight it is. I wear it everywhere - as an under layer for super cold days, or as a single layer with a turtle under for spring skiing. It does shed a small amount of down unfortunately. I was between a M & L and sized up so I could wear over other layers - great decision. Zipper could be made better; it sticks occasionally.

my new favorite jacket

By 50ish skier

from Concord, MA

Pros

  • Breathes
  • Incredibly Lightweight
  • Longer than other brands
  • Perfect Shell
  • Super warm

Cons

  • color not accurate

Best Uses

  • Hiking
  • Skiing
  • Snowshoeing
  • Walking
  • Watching Cold Soccer Game

I'm generally cold when I ride the chair but don't want to be bulky. This is the best shell in cold weather, or outer jacket for spring skiing. You truely cannot believe how little it weighs. The red onion color was not as pictured - it is actually much pinker, and the interior is the burgundy shown. I do wish it had more zip pockets, but the comfort makes up for it. I found it slightly longer than the Patagonia version which adds to its comfort.
