I've only worn it for a few days however I am impressed so far. I didn't think it would be nearly as warm as it is. It's actually very warm, although not sure how it would stand up to wind. That being said, worn under a shell it would make the perfect mid layer. The sleeves seem a bit long though, not sure why the design allowed for such long sleeves, but if I find out I will pass it along!

I ordered the Cigar colored Monkey Man fleece and received the hummus color instead. Wish I could get the Cigar colored one as well

Wore my Monkey Man fleece in the low 40's a couple of nights. It is a close fit versus a loose fit jacket, which kept me toasty yet didn't feel stifling. I will be using this also as a mid-layer in cold weather, but haven't tried it out for that yet.

The only negative is that my wife is trying to steal it from me.

I have owned 'those other fleece jackets' previously (you know the ones...I'm not supposed to mention other product names) and have to admit I 'assumed' they were the elite in performance based on the sheer volume of people I saw on the choosing these as their go to fleece for winter weather (and I believe for the most part in the old 'you get what you pay for' when it comes to quality). Don't get me wrong, those products aren't shabby by any stretch...but in my humble opinion there is simply no comparison to the fit and feel of this thing vs. that other brand. Sizing - I am 5'7" 135lbs, athletic build, and the small fits perfect. shoulder hems hit where they should, waist sits just below my belt line, and sleeves have just a touch of extra length which is good for those times when you have to reach up high as they do not ride up.Around the chest/abs is snug but not snug enough I couldn't wear a baselayer/sweatshirt underneath if needed. And bear in mind this is designed to be the midlayer with a shell over if windy/rainy. This jacket is warm enough that even in very cold conditions you will not need more than a long sleeve sweatshirt or long johns underneath and perhaps a shell if windy/rainy. Two enthusiastic opposable monkey thumbs up!
