I'm using this as a midlayer under a hard shell and over a baselayer. I purchased it prior to a trip to Park City, UT for snow sports and hiking. I ended up using it there but also for chores around the house/outside in the frigid temps. It does the trick. I tend to get too warm, too quickly when wearing this, particularly when I'm being active. It's not a bad thing, though! If I am sweating, and I don't have a baselayer between my neck and the jacket, it does tend to stick to my skin. Not a deal-breaker. I love that it packs down to about the size of a Nalgene bottle, packs into its own pocket, and it's ridiculously warm despite being so lightweight. I laughed out loud when I received the package with this jacket in it. It was so light that I thought the box was empty. Lightweight, warm, comfortable. It's great! I'm 5'7", 180 lbs., with 32" arm length, and the medium size fits great. I have noticed a little bit of feather loss at the seams. It's particularly noticeable when I am wearing a merino wool baselayer. I'll find small down feathers stuck to me. Not terrible, but a little disappointing. The hood really sets this apart from the Ghost Whisperer without the hood. I use the hood a lot. It makes me look like an astronaut, but I don't really care as it really does a great job in shielding my head/neck from the cold/elements. I love this jacket. It has really changed my upper body layering system for the better.
