      I was looking for minimal weight / size with maximum functionality and this jacket provides both. It is large enough to wear over an insulated liner, but small enough to pack easily and wear as a regular wind/rain jacket. This jacket definitely lighteded my pack load. Great price too.

      This is a great coat, and Mountain Hardwear has a more "alpine" fit... which means it won't really fit the old me with a beer-belly. This coat is very water proof, but the water resistant coating wore off quickly, or wasn't applied well to begin with because the fabric started to wet-through in random locations the first time I took this coat out in the rain. Built very well, pit zips help venting, and Dry.Q is a great membrane, but watch out for the DWR finish.

      Great jacket. Waterproof is excellent, however it doesn't breathe as much as I would like, however it's waterproof so regardless of how innovative the material it's tough to have both for this price. You will enjoy it I promise.
