Comments about Kelty Redtail 30 Daypack:

Very comfortable and not bulky. You can carry stuff for a day hike or a longer one. Fits well a 3 ltr water bladder plus 1lt water bottles on each side.

Comments about Kelty Redtail 30 Daypack:

Needed to replace a trusty old pack that fell apart in the wash. I take a pack with me everywhere I go, every single day so I need a solid, versatile pack & this seems to be a good replacement. My need is to carry food and workout clothes with me to work each day but also for swim workouts, weekend day hikes, bike rides, air travel, laptop transport, etc.
The build quality feels good, and the padding system is very good. The nylon material comprising the body of the pack feels tough and durable. The zippers and pulls feel like high quality items as well.
I like that it has two handles, one on top and one on the center back of it so I can easily grab it and carry it by hand if I want. The handles are solid and strong.
The inner dividers in the middle cargo area are well laid out and I like that a couple of the dividers are lined with a soft fabric to protect glasses or sunglasses. The divider in the main compartment holds my laptop well and also files and other papers can stay separated from my shoes, etc and don't get crumpled.
There's a third, very small compartment at the most posterior part of the pack that works well for keys and other small items that need to be accessed quickly.
This pack also works with hydration systems, but the side mesh pockets hold water bottles very well also.
The straps provide plenty of range for compressing and expanding the cargo areas.
This is just a good, solid all-around pack, and especially considering the price, I don't see where someone would be disappointed with it.
